We welcome your interest in the Betsy-Tacy Society. The BTS was founded in Mankato, Minnesota in 1990, became incorporated and tax-exempt in 1992, and has over 1,500 members throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia, and Africa. This diverse group reads and shares a fondness for the Betsy-Tacy series of books written by Maud Hart Lovelace (1892-1980). Its mission is to promote and preserve her work, sustain an interest in the lifestyle portrayed in her writings, and encourage their continued publication and distribution. The Betsy-Tacy Society Journal and our newsletters contain articles and items of interest related to the Betsy-Tacy books, information about the national organization and chapter activities, and our product catalog. Please note that while younger members are very welcome to join the Society, the Journal is geared to an adult audience. Children aged 12 and up would most likely enjoy a membership. If you would like to become a member of the Betsy-Tacy Society, please use the link below to print out a membership form. Rates are listed on the form. Once your dues are received, the current issue of the Journal and newsletter will be mailed to you first class. Please note that all subsequent mailings utilize bulk mail, so that when a new Journal is released it can take anywhere from one to six weeks for it to arrive. Expiration dates are indicated on the mailing labels. To minimize costs, we do not send renewal notices, so please make sure to check your label when you receive our mailings! PRINT
