I am a voracious reader, and have been since I was a child. I just don't know how I failed to read the Betsy-Tacy series. My friend mentioned it to me the other day, and encouraged me to get started! She introduced these stories recently to her daughter, and her daughter even had a "Betsy-Tacy" party for her birthday this year. Amazingly, quite a few of her friends had not even heard of Betsy-Tacy, but now that they have, they are reading and trading books in the series as fast as they can finish. How gratifying to know that stories such as these still appeal to girls of our time.
