We regret that due to the rain that brought some activities indoors,

many of you were not able to get the full tour of Betsy's house.

Betsy-Tacy houses designated National Literary Landmarks

The childhood homes of Maud Hart Lovelace and Frances "Bick" Kenney have been designated National Literary Landmarks by the Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF), a division of the American Library Association. Funding for the plaques was made possible through an Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund grant. The Betsy-Tacy Society held a dedication ceremony on May 20, 2010. September 9-10, 2010 - Minnesota Shorts Festival of Plays, Mankato, MN. From over 100 submissions, "Commencement Day," a Betsy-Tacy play written by Daryl Hrdlicka, was selected as a finalist and will be performed at the Fitzgerald Theater. Click here for more information.
