Tacy’s house and gift shop is open every Saturday afternoon. Come see our restoration efforts to date, and our growing collection of Lovelace family artifacts. 

The gift shop offers a good selection of Betsy-Tacy books as well as those by local authors, the Deep Valley afghan, collectible plates, mugs, post cards, stationary, paper dolls, T-shirts and sweatshirts and much more.

Amboy Area Community Theatre, in conjunction with the Amboy Area Community Club and The Betsy-Tacy Society invite you to step back in time with us on and enjoy the music, dance, fashion and fun of Betsy’s era in this new original production. More information...

Tacy's Birthday Party
Join us for the celebration of Tacy’s 117th birthday! Maud Hart (Betsy) and Bick
Kenney (Tacy) met at Maud’s 5th birthday party and became lifelong friends. Their
childhood adventures were immortalized when Maud wrote the Betsy-Tacy books in
the 1940s and 1950s. Bick (Tacy) was born in Minneapolis on July 13, 1891. 2008 Minnesota Book Award winner, Jill Kalz will read and sign copies of her award-winning book, Farmer Cap. Birthday cake and refreshments will be served. More information...

Betsy-Tacy Neighborhood Walk
Walk begins at Tacy’s House, 332 Center Street, Mankato. Step back in time as you take a stroll through Betsy and Tacy’s neighborhood. Costumed guides will lead the walk with stops at the homes of the Betsy-Tacy characters. At each home you will be greeted by costumed re-enactors.
October 25

Halloween Party
Come to Tacy’s House dressed in costume for our annual Halloween Party. Treats and refreshments for everyone.
December 6
1-3 pm
Tacy's Victorian Christmas
Experience an old-fashioned Christmas. Costumed characters from the Betsy-Tacy books, dramatic readings from Betsy and Tacy Go Downtown by Maud Hart Lovelace. Enjoy the sounds of Christmas with music from the MN Valley Chorale. Refreshments served.
