Though the first day of the
Convention was uncomfortably muggy, the heat didn't stop hordes of Betsy-Tacy
fans from exploring Deep Valley. (It helped that the buses were air-conditioned,
too). Here are a few of the sites (and sights) from the tour:

Tib's House

Miss Sparrow's Carnegie Library (now an Arts Center)

The little glass pitcher that Tacy gave Betsy
(Displayed in MHL Wing at library)

Maud's High School Scrapbook
(Blue Earth County Historical Society)

The Brass Bowl
(Collection of Merian Lovelace Kirchner)
|

The Betsy Bride Doll
|

A modern-day "Betsy" on the steps
of Betsy's house
|

The Kirch (Kelly) family on "the bench."
(Peggy, Marisa, Jack, Mary Ann, Sally)

Members of the Kirch family at Tacy's house

Corner Cupboard
